2. Fractal image encoding

The fundamental idea of the fractal image compression is coming from the PIFS. For a original gray level image f of size m m, let the range pool R be the set of (m/n) 2 non-overlapping blocks of size n n in the image f. For obeying the Contractive Mapping FixedPoint Theorem, the domain block must exceed 1 times than the range block in size. Let the contraction ratio of the fractal coding be 2.
