2 Motivating Example

Before summing up the existing approaches dealing with SWS composition, and in order to realize the value added by every approach, it is helpful to have realworld example in mind and to map each approach we present in the next sections to it. Consider the task of comparing products on the web. In the absence of automated composition of services, the user invests considerable resources visiting numerous sites, determining appropriate service providers, entering his preferences repeatedly, integrating or aligning the different type of results coming from different sites.
