1. Introduction
Current seismic analysis and design procedures for cold-formed steel (CFS) frame buildings focus on the strength of individual shear wall units [1], e.g., shear walls constructed with CFS steel members sheathed with Structural 1 plywood (4 ply), oriented strand board (OSB), gypsum board, or thin sheet steel or strap bracing. These building subsystems are designed using prescriptive procedures and tabulated values based on shear wall tests. Research efforts to characterize the response and develop numerical models for CFS lateral load resisting systems typically focus on the response of shear walls to push-over and cyclic tests (e.g., [2–4]). Specific guidance about energy dissipation or strength degradation for these systems and their components (e.g., drag struts, boundary chord studs) is not readily available. The goal of the research summarized in this paper is to experimentally investigate and then quantify the cyclic behavior, and energy dissipation characteristics of CFS axial members. This test data will be implemented in future CFS subsystem seismic numerical models as part of a larger ongoing multi-university research effort [5].
1. مقدمه
آنالیز لرزه ای موجود و روند طراحی سازه های قابی فولادی سرد نورد شده (CFS) بر روی مقاومت اجزای المان های دیوار برشی متمرکز است، بعنوان مثال، دیوارهای برشی ساخته شده با اجزای فولادی سرد نورد شده غلاف شده با یک سازه چندلا، صفحات رشته ای مورب (OSB)، صفحه ی گیبسوم، یا صفحه فولادی نازک یا تسمه مهار. این سیستم های مبنایی سازه با استفاده از روش های تجویزی و مقادیر جدول شده بر مبنای آزمون های دیوار برشی طراحی شده اند. تحقیق و پژوهش در سدد توصیف پاسخ و توسعه ی مدل های عددی برای سیستم های فولادی سرد نورد شده مقاوم در برابر بارهای جانبی عموما با تمرکز بر پاسخ دیوارهای برشی به آزمایش های چرخه ای و پوش آور می باشد. در حقیقت راهنمای مشخصی در زمینه ی اتلاف انرژی یا کاهش مقاومت برای این سیستم ها و مولفه های آنها موجود نمی باشد. هدف خلاصه شده در این پژوهش عبارت از بررسی تجربی و سپس تعیین کمی رفتار سیکلی، و مشخصات اتلاف انرژی اعضای فولادی محوری سرد نورد شده می باشد. این داده های آزمایشی در آینده بصورت مدل های عددی لرزه ای فولادی سرد نورد شده بعنوان بخشی از یک پژوهش بزرگتر چند دانشگاهی اجرا خواهد شد.
