5. Fluid inclusions

Previous studies of fluid inclusions in the Qaleh-Zari deposit include those by Sadaghyani-Avval (1976); Moore and Hassan-Nezhad (1994) and Karimpour and Zaw (2000). These workers present information on temperature and chemical conditions of mineral-forming processes in mining levels which are located between No. 1 and No. 2 shafts at depths up to 205 m (below the present-day surface). The studies suggest a temperature range of 130–3908C and salinity of 0.4–2 equiv wt% for the mineralizing fluid. In addition, strong oxidation conditions, high Na/K and very high Na/Mg ratios are suggested for Qaleh-Zari hydrothermal fluid. The present work includes results from mining levels in all the shafts.
